NEET UG 2020
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This examination is held annually for students who aspire to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in more than 66,000 seats either in government or in private medical colleges or dental colleges in India. Earlier, this examination was known as All Indian Pre- Medical Test (AIPMT), but was renamed as NEET in 2013. Earlier, the examination was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) but with effect to new changes introduced by HRD ministry in the year 2019,National Testing Agency (NTA)Â is the newly formulated body which will conduct NEET Entrance test every year. NEET has replaced AIPMT along with the individual state level and institute level exams. Still some colleges like All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conduct their separate examinations.

NEET UG 2020 ELIGIBILITY
There are some of the criteria that need to be MET by the candidate in order to be eligible for the examination of NEET 2020. Those criteria are called as the Eligibility Criteria. The detailed eligibility criteria for NEET 2020 have been specified by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The eligibility criteria include different parameters like nationality, age limit, pass percentage, number of attempts etc. Earlier there were limitations in case of age of the aspirant, but now, the upper age limit has been removed from NEET.

NEET 2020 APPLICATION FORM
Candidates must have to register themselves for the examination by filling up the application form that will be available only by online mode. Candidates will be required to fill-up their details in the form correctly and carefully. The online form for NEET 2020 was made available from 2nd December 2019 to 6th January, 2020. The governing body that is NTA opens the portal for correction of the filled up application forms. Earlier, the correction window was opened from 15th Jan – 19th Mar 2020. On several requests from candidates all over India, NTA has re-opened the correction window from 1st April 2020 to 14th April, 2020 till 5:00 pm in the evening.
Candidates can easily fill-up their application form by following some simple steps.
STEP I: Visit the official website of NEET 2020 that is, https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/welcome.aspx.
STEP II: Go to Application form portal.
STEP III: Fill up the application form
STEP IV: Upload the scanned photograph of yourself and your signature.
STEP VI: Pay the registration fee.
It is advisable to keep certain details and documents ready before filling the NEET 2020 application form.

- Class 10 details and Class 12 details (Marksheet, certificate, school details etc)
- Correct spelling of Father and Mother’s name
- Adhar number (last 4 digits only)
- Class 12 Roll number issued by the Board/Election Card (EPIC No.), Passport Number, ration card number, bank account or any other valid Govt. identity number
- Scanned images of passport-sized photograph, and signature and other documents (if applicable). Details are given in the table below

NEET 2020 EXAM PATTERN
NEET 2020 will be conducted by NTA once in offline mode that is, pen and paper based mode. The examination was earlier planned to be conducted on 3rd May, 2020 but has been postponed till further notice by NTA because of the global outbreak of Coronavirus. The detailed examination pattern of the NEET 2020 has been described below under this section.
- The examination contains 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) including syllabus from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (45 questions from Physics and Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology).
- The examination will be conducted in 11 languages namely, English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Telugu.

NEET 2020 CUT OFF
Cut off for NEET 2020 will be released by NTA after the examination. Cut-off mark is simply that mark that a candidate must need to score in order to get eligible for the counselling or admission process. There is no fixed cut-off mark for every year. The cut-off varies every year with varying question patterns and difficulty levels of the examination. Also, cut-off depends on the number of students that appeared for the examination in total in all examination centres. NEET 2020 ADMIT CARD
The admit card for NEET 2020 has been delayed by the conducting authority that is NTA due to nationwide lockdown because of       COVID’19.The admit card comprises of information like venue details, examination timings, etc. The admit card will be made available to download via online mode from the official website of NEET 2020 that is, https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/welcome.aspx
The candidates can download the NEET 2020 admit card easily from the website.
The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting ntaneet.nic.in and www.nta.ac.in for latest updates regarding NEET 2020. Till any further notice from NTA, students are advised to utilise this time for preparation of examination.
NEET 2020 RESULT/ COUNSELLING
The NTA will announce the date of release of NEET 2020 results. Earlier, the results for NEET 2020 was to be released via online mode by 4th June, 2020 but now, it has been postponed till further notice because of coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown. The results will be published on the official website of NEET 2020. The candidates will be able to check their results using their email-ID and registration number as provided by the governing body.
