The film is written by Sandeep Srivastava and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Production. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani is in lead roles.

The film is based on the true story of the Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of Indian Army. Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Jaaved Jaffrey have started Shershaah’s shooting from today i.e. 7 May 2019. The film is scheduled for release on 3 July 2020. But, the release has been postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic (We will update when release date announce). Now the movie will release on 12 August, 2021 on Amazon Prime.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s film Shershaah are also a biopic film. This film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, the Param Vir Chakra, Captain Batra sacrificed himself for the country at the age of 24.
