About GIC Recruitment 2021

The General Insurance Corporation of India had recently issued an official GIC Recruitment notification inviting eligible candidates for Officer Posts. There are 44 vacancies to be filled for the posts of Scale 1 Officers in various disciplines. Applicants will be required to qualify for the online exam, Interview/Group Discussion, and Medical Exam. As per the official updates, GIC Scale 1 Officer Admit Card 2021 is available online. The corporation will conduct a national-level pre-recruitment test in online mode in 30 different cities across India. The Computer-Based Test will be held on 09^th May 2021 (Sunday). GIC Scale I Officer Call Letter 2021 – Instructions for Candidates  

Applicants who are shortlisted for the exam need to follow the instructions also mentioned on GIC Scale I Officer Call Letter 2021.

1. The examination will be conducted online at venues.
2. No request for change of centre/venue/date/session for Examination shall be entertained.
3. Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her owns risks and expenses and Corporation will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.
4. Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the online examination without GIC Scale 1 Officer Admit Card 2021, Valid Photo-identity proof, and a Photocopy of the photo-identity proof attached with the e-admit card.
5. Candidates Reporting Late i.e. after the reporting time specified on the call letter for Examination will not be permitted to take the examination.
6. Examinees must bring GIC Scale I Officer Call Letter with a recent photograph affixed thereon, photocopy of the ID proof stapled with it and the same currently valid Photo identity proof in original.
7. Driving License and ration Card will not be accepted as a valid Identity proof.
8. GIC Scale I Officer Admit Card along with photocopy of photo identity proof duly stapled together will be submitted at the end of exam by putting it in the designated drop-box.
9. You will be required to enter User ID (Roll No.) and Password (Printed on e-admit card), as given above, to enter the On-Line exam site.
10. Instead of thumb impression, Photograph and IRIS will be captured at the examination venue.
11. The photo captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by the candidate in the application. Applicants must NOT change their appearance from the photo uploaded by you.
12. LEFT EYE (IRIS)‘ will be captured for all the candidates.
13. Candidates should remove Contact Lenses and Spectacles while capturing IRIS. Candidates are advised to avoid wearing contact lenses and prefer spectacles.
14. Items allowed inside the examination hall: Mask (WEARING A MASK is COMPULSORY), Gloves, Personal transparent water bottle (Candidate should bring his / her own water bottle), Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), A simple pen, and a stamp pad.

GIC Scale 1 Officer Exam Pattern 2021 (General)

• The exam will be bilingual (Hindi & English).
• The duration of the examination is 2 hours 30 minutes,
• There will be penalty for wrong answers marked (in objective tests) by the candidates. For each wrong answer ¼ of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from those obtained.
• Minimum qualifying marks in the online test – 60% for General/OBC and 50% for SC /ST.
• Minimum qualifying marks for overall selection process (online test, GD and Interview) – 60% for General/OBC and 50% for SC /ST.
• The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.
