Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2020 Postponement Notice

NTA already released the notification for the admission postponed notice on the official website. The notice states, “In view of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Delhi University has put on hold the registration process for UG / PG / M.Phil / Ph.D courses.

The lockdown has been extended to 30 May, 2020. The new dates of the exam shall be also decided for DUET once the situation goes back to normal.

Delhi University Admission 2020 Application Form

Delhi University conducts entrance test only for PG courses. Admission to B.Tech course will be based on JEE Main. Interested candidates can see the details about the application form for the various programs given below-

• For PG courses – Applicants need to appear in DU 2020 exam. 50% of total number of seats in PG programs will be filled by direct admission of Delhi University students and the remaining 50% will be filled through the entrance examination.
• For UG courses – To get admission in UG program, applicants have to fill a common pre-admission form online or offline for all categories. There will be no entrance examination for admission to UG courses and there will be no entry form at the college level. There are 2 different common pre-entry form as General/OBC/ST/SC/PWD. After filling the admission form, applicants have to submit it any of the designated centers of the university.

Delhi University Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

• For PG courses – Candidates must have completed graduation in their specific field from any recognized university.

There is no minimum age limit for admission to PG courses in DU, except for courses controlled by bodies like Medical Council of India, Bar Council of India etc. IN below list of the DU Courses offered along with minimum percentage marks and mandatory subjects for admission in particular courses. (Entrance Based)

MA – students must have passed there bachelor’s degree.

M.COM – students must have passed there B.COM / B.COM (Hons.) / B.A. (Hons.) / Economics / BBS / BBA / BIFA / BBE

M.SC – students must have passed there B.SC degree. Appearing candidates can also eligible to Apply.

MCA – students must have passed there Bachelor degree (BCA) or equivalent degree and scoring a minimum of 60% marks.

• For UG courses – Applicants must have passed 10+2 CBSE Board or equivalent examination. Applicants must have scored the minimum marks specified for each course.

BA/B.Com – students must have passed with 40% marks in aggregate.

BA (Hons) / B.Com (Hons) – students must have passed there BA / B.Com with 45% marks in aggregate

B.SC (Hons.) in Mathematics – 50 % marks in Mathematics and 45%+ in the qualifying exam

B.Cs (Hons.) in Physics, Chemistry – 55%+ marks in each subject (Practical and Theory together) and passing in one compulsory language i.e. English with 50% marks

B.Cs (Hons.) in Botany, Zoology, Microbiology – 55%+ marks in aggregate of 3 subject (Practical and Theory together) and passing in one compulsory language i.e. English with 50% marks

Delhi University Admission 2020 Exam Pattern

• Exam Date: The test for UG courses will be held in first to second week of July 2020. For PG courses, the entrance test will be held in the first week of July 2020.
• Mode of Exam: The University will be conducted exam in Online mode.
• Language Medium: English and Hindi Language
• Time Duration: The time duration for the exam will be of 2 hours
• Type of Questions: The questions will contain multiple choice questions.
• Number of Questions: The total 100 questions contain for UG courses
• Marking Scheme: For each correct answer 4 marks will be given. For every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

DU Admission 2020 Cut Off

The cut off for UG courses will be decided on the basis of 12^th standard marks of the school board. The cut offs will be prepared by various colleges affiliated to University of Delhi. Applicants will be offered admission on the basis of cut off marks.
